One of my all time favorite songs. Knowing the story behind it makes it all the more heartwarming. I'm reading the book his wife wrote about all of this. It's amazing.

Amen. Lord, glory be to You! When there is pain, it can either turn us against God or draw is to Him. But it makes absolute sense for it to draw us to Him because He went through unbearable pain beyond our own and yet He bore it all the way to the cross. And He bore all of our sins, and our sicknesses and our mental anguish and griefs. And not once did He not feel our pain! By His stripes we are healed! I love You Jesus! Amen!

Truly amazing. That he went through a nightmare that would keep any parent up at night, yet he didn't retreat and keep to himself in depression. Instead, he comes back with this song... Isn't it amazing that he is able to muster the strength to sing this powerful song! Truly, this man has been blessed to have what it takes to share this song with everyone.
