  • maybe you should listen again carefully. she just refers to the oblique as the "lovehandle section" but never actually calls it a "core muscle". she just opens by saying she's gonna show some exercises "for your core" which really isn't wrong, since all of your abdominal muscles can be called the "core" of your body, even if (among physiotherapists) the term "core muscles" mostly refers to m. transversus abdominis or mm. multifidii

  • the moment you called external oblique a "core" muscle...you lost it.

    do some research (i mean look through a few journals) and look up transversus abdominis
