1984 300td Veggie wagon. 230,000, 4speed manual


This is a 2 tank conversion. You start and stop on diesel and in the middle you run on wvo. Once the car is up to 180f it switches to VO and before I stop I push the purge button running on diesel for 45sec before shut off.

@BmxDieseldude No just north of Seattle WA. The manual is working great. Its taking me some time to get used to the turbo lag. Once you get off the line its not to bad.

hi you ever thought of running the oil through the water system..of coarse with no water in. and then feed it to the filter and then into the injection pump

@honda4004 It might work. I'm not willing to try it with my car! Don't think it would start that well in 30 degrees. Also the coolant system is under presser.

Great work on the manual conversion. My auto in my old N/A 300D is getting weak, and then again, so is the motor.

Nice handy work! Very clean conversion. I have an 83 300TD i've done the manual swap to and i'm planning a WVO conversion. Could you take detailed pics of your plumbing/routing for your WVO? I'd like to model mine after yours, it's the best i've seen out there!
