Hi, I am Gil Hedley, Ph.D., founder of Integral Anatomy Productions, LLC, and Somanautics Workshops, Inc. I appreciate your visit! Please browse, shop, read, comment, follow links, download, and consider coming to explore with me at a workshop.
My ultimate intention here is to share a larger vision of community and relationships based upon insights drawn from self-responsible and embodied life experience.
On a personal note, I am a dad of three wondrous homeschooled kiddies, I am a hubby of one amazing wife, I am blessed with many friends, and I am an eternal student of life. I also enjoy stacking rocks! I spent a large chunk of this particular life in formal school situations, studying religion and ethics. I went to Duke as an undergrad, and then to the Divinity School of the University of Chicago for an MA in the study of religion and a Ph.D. in Theological and Philosophical Ethics. (I wrote my dissertation on marriage ethics in the Catholic Church.) While in Chicago, I studied Tai Chi, which, among many other things, helped me to re-conceive my body.

With the path of body exploration opened, I went to the Rolf Institute and trained in massage, and was certified as a Rolfer® in 1993. Then my wife and I spent 4 years studying whole person healing and psychodynamics at the IM School of Healing Arts. During that time, I began teaching anatomy at the healing school, and teaching anatomy in the dissection lab as well. That's where the Six-Day Intensive Hands-On Human Dissection Workshop™ first took form, the core curriculum of Somanautics Workshops, Inc, which I founded to administer that program. I eventually left off my Rolfing® practice to devote myself fully to teaching.
After about ten years developing and teaching the workshop in many cities nationwide and abroad, I undertook the enormous project of putting my approach and message down in a video format: 4 volumes of The Integral Anatomy Series are available here now, and a book by the same name is in progress. The series has to date been distributed to 30 countries globally that I am aware of, and I am very happy that it continues to spread and to be very well received by people from a variety of disciplines, professions, and walks of life. I sincerely hope you find it a contribution to your own process of self-exploration and discovery.
The image of the sacred heart which graces the pages of this site represents to me the unity of the divine with these flesh and blood bodies of ours, and the sanctity of embodied life. After many years of believing that I needed to overcome and "get out of" my body to achieve holiness, I realized what I really needed was to enjoy and appreciate the incredible gift that my body is. The sacred heart represents that central insight for me, and much more.

Snooze. Instead of watching this guy shill for his unnecessary products, my time would have been better spent doing almost anything else.
