@Baltimorehop Beyonce music is anything but typical. To judge her artistic quality from a purposefully dance made single "Single Ladies" is beyond cynical. Beyonce has been in the music industry for the past decade and has continued to be one of the most successful artist of the time period. So 20 years from now Beyonce's music will definitely be remembered and cherished like many legends before her.

I swear three years have passed since these Beyoncé's covers of the Etta James songs were released, and I'm still shocked by how completely natural she sounds singing traditional soul music. She sounds like someone born to do this more than anything else. Of course anyone with a bit of musical ear, honesty and knowledge of Bee's performances knew she had it in her, but she just nailed this in any possible way. She is an old soul, WAY more than any other singer of her generation.
