To get the A-rank, "shake" him down so you hit him on the floor. Three times, then throw him up before he frees himself.
Even IF he uses the laser, you can easily get the A-rank this way.

I NEVER FIGURED OUT, WHY THIS WAS THE FINAL BATTLE.
THE BEASTECTORS WERE TRICK BY THE EMPEROR, BUT THEY FOUND OUT AND SAID THEY WON'T DO HIS DOINGS ANYMORE. SO WHY AFTER BEATING THE EMPEROR, YOU MUST FIGHT THEM?
