The next Megaquake (3 of 5)

what is striking to me is that there has been no mention of the Nisquali quake that hit in Feb. 2001. though not the catastrophic 9.0 quake the documentary is fearing, this 6.8 quake was a good dress rehearsal for the high rises in Seattle. I remember the shaking lasted for some time, and it was a quite a rolling motion.

The "normal" san-an quake is a much more serious threat. the timescale of those quakes seems to place SoCal as overdue for one. whereas the megaquake may well never happen before humanity goes extinct for another reason.

Don't worry about any of this!! Don't worry. Earthquakes only happen in foreign country's and most of that is Hollywood sets!! Nothing will ever happen in North America that's real threatening!! It's all Hollywood hype and gossip magazine stuff! Ah, ha, ha!! ;-)
