aww those were gud gud times!!!:) i remember my mom used to play this movie over and over again at night and we all be laying in her bed watching it me and my sister and we'd be eating pop corn and we just talk about the movie and i would ask thousands of questions........i really do miss those times what happen to the time?!?!? IT FLYES BY SO FAST......NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTETED YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU'LL LOSE IT......

Favorite black and white movie!! I use to watch this like everyday as a kid and sung every single song that had words! I'd even go to school singin the songs in my head..i haven't seen this in years and still know every part..im over here repeatin it now. My grandma did not like this movie...God rest her soul

This is one of my all time favorite movies!! BEAUTIFUL! When I was a kid, I'd catch it on a late movie once in awhile. It ALWAYS gave me the "Warm & Fuzzies" back then..and still does today! I used to think, THAT'S THE HEAVEN I WANT TO GO TO!! I'm a man (white) in my mid 50s. I STILL feel that way!! I want to hear this choir! I want to go to the fish fry! I want to enjoy a cup of boiled custard with THE LAWD!....and have some "GOOD TIMIN'" Forever and ever..AMEN! :) THANKS 4 POSTING!

This movie is one we want to show our children because it educates. The movie is valuable for children to see because it shows how black people were perceived decades ago in the types of roles they had to play in order to work in the movie industry. To not allow your children to see this is sending a message that black people should be ashamed of their past. Green Pastures is a classic black film. Hiding one's past is an indicates there is something to be ashamed of and feeds low self esteem
