A quick test after new heads/tuning on my new ddrum acrylic kit. It's a different setup/heads/sound from what I'm used to so I need to refine it a little.

  • what drumheads are u using?

  • @enacer Snare: batter = Remo Controlled Sound - pretty sure that's what's on there for this video. reso = Hazy 200 or 300. Toms: batter = Evans EC3 Clear. reso = Stock ddrum. Kick: batter = Remo Powerstroke III. reso = Evans EQ2 with a Kickport. I'm still experimenting but this setup sounded pretty good. I found myself having to tune the kick higher than usual, due to it being a 20x24, acrylic and/or the Kickport. Small sliver of moongel on snare, otherwise all open. They sound like cannons.
