This sounds like what you would find in an ancient black & white Disney Cartoon. You know, like the kind where the characters grab a cow or a duck and make music out of them?

Eh, don't really like it, but 5 stars.

Better check that record, it is cracked.

perhaps. These older records come from my non-local archive; meaning I have limited access to them. But I'm sure to remember the title. Thanks for the request!

Odd as usual, but I like odd. Have you got the "Too Fat Polka"...I'd like to request that please. Best, Joy

This charming little tune was on a Vocalion 33 rpm record, with other fun items, such as "Raise the Window Down." The "Too Fat Polka" was a surprise best-seller for Arthur Godfrey; the other side had "For Me and My Gal," which was delightful. Godfrey was convinced "Too Fat" would be a flop!

Please, tell me you're Vocalion 33rpm reference was toward the "too fat Polka". I'd hate to argue the fact that the record in this video clearly doesn't match the previous description.

Yours is indeed a 78 rpm. The Vocalion LP I refer to is called "Lawrence Welk Champagne Polkas" and includes the following: Champagne Polka, Dream City Polka, Friendly Tavern Polk, Home Again Polka, Sleepy Bugler Polka, Raise the Window Down Polka, Pound Your Table Polka, Barbara Polka, Guitar Polka, and Slap Your Hip Polka. I am not positive that the LP was a remastering of pieces from various 78s, but I think it may've been.

oh thank god I was a little concerned @ first thought. Now I'm simply amazed at all of the Polkas available on a single disk.

Excellent - and not in an ironic way! 5/5 TOS-Violatin' Stars :-)
