Grand Masonic Lodge of Japan, Tokyo, interior and Exterior views.

The US flag is present only because of a meeting the night before of some US military Masons; usually the flag of Japan is saluted before Lodge.

The altar (bare in this video) would support not only the Christian Bible but also the Gita, the Koran, and sacred books of all religions: the Brothers present may choose their scriptures based on their own beliefs. Masonry does not discriminate.

"As long as one believes in a Supreme Being, he can be a Mason."

  • Beautiful lodge. Hope to visit sometime

  • Our lodge has a leaking roof+is always freezing, in comparison we are up the north east corner with our pockets out!

  • Beautiful lodge. Thanks for that video

  • Beautiful lodge.

  • @hyprid6wolf the eye is the God, it means we belive GOD. You have to belive a great power(god) to be a candidate.

  • @hyprid6wolf It represents god (by whatever name you know him) watching over all. It was an often used symbol (sometimes called the Eye of Providence) during the enlightenment which was later incorporated into masonic symbolism.

  • I'm a Past Master in Alabama and I think that is a beautiful lodge.. I noticed a couple if indifferences from the norm but nonetheless something to be very proud of.

I would love to visit this place one day.

  • Congratulations to the Grand Lodge of Japan for their wonderful building and facilities. We wish all Lodges could have that design too. Greetings from "Platon Lodge" from Kavala in Greece. We invite you to visit our new website platonlodge.gr and give us our feedback.

  • @LOG1K690 Not quite the case. The Japanese Flag is the only one displayed, except for the two Lodges which meet on U.S. Military Bases in Japan. The "a foot in front of the other" was never our practice.

  • I have lodge envy.
