I have closed the comments for this performance. I do not have the time or the patience to teach people how this piece is supposed to go. If you need to hear an example of how this needs to go, look for clips of Tebaldi, Freni and Caballe among the MANY sopranos who have sung this and "made it her own." if after listening to those 3 you need more examples, go to te Kanawa, Hei Kyun Hong and (incredibly enough) Obrazova. If none of that gives you an idea, then resign yourself to the fact that you are not going to get it and bask on the sound and the emptiness, that's what brought you here to start with.
