Sirocco The Kakapo Vocalizes

I was fortunate to visit New Zealand and work with Sirocco the kakapo. In this clip you get to hear some of the vocalizations he made. Because kakapo are so rare and very solitary not much is known about their vocalizations. In these clips you get to hear a sound they make called a "skraak". In some clips you wont be able to see the bird, but I try to explain what was going on. You also get to hear a sound that no one is really sure what it means. @MsHorselover8 Oh and it got even better : ) After his appearance at Zealandia he went to Maud Island for breeding season. He gets to roam the whole thing.
