{Entry for Challenge 1 of Youtube's Next Top Vidder}
It's an emotion-based challenge, and I was picked for the "fear" group. I've never done anything remotely like this before. At first I was discouraged by vidding this emotion, but I actually really enjoyed making this.
How exactly is fear incorporated within my video? Well, fear can take on many forms. It can be a doubt that riddles your mind, the paralyzing grip of futility, the realization that one cannot control his own life. I consider the Ring, the power it holds over people, and it's connection to Sauron to be pretty terrifying. This video focuses on how the Ring acts as a subject of fear in Frodo's quest. Frodo recognizes the powerful influence of the Ring and though he is afraid of Sauron's power and forces, he struggles to follow through with his task as Ringbearer. Frodo is the light of hope, being the Ringbearer, but he, too, is often subject to the paralyzing fear of the future, should the Ring succeed in its mission. This video is meant to show the darker side of fear: the fear of failure, the fear of a world once again under the dominion of Sauron.
