Assuming that this God entity is even factually real (which is a colossal assumption to say the least)-Why should any person do anything that he says to do? What makes his/her/its sensabilities and reasonings and commandments WORTHY of being followed by intelligent beings such as us, without whom God would have no reason to even exist.
@MrEmeraldfusion Under that position, I would also assume that Child abuse is normal? Spousal abuse? Killing a person who gathers sticks on "the sabbath" is normal? I COULD go on with these obvious "abnormal" / unethical acts which are commanded in your Bible.
@TheAlexANGST -What is normal is what God says in normal. One man and one woman that's normal. one man and one man is not normal it's perversion. Jesus Saves.
@MrEmeraldfusion No, I'm saying as society realizes the rationality behind certain ideas, and being able to distinguish between ethical and unethical, in terms of objective ethics, and not subjective, we can determine what is "normal" by the definition I have suggested, and what is "abnormal". Gay Marriage? Normal, harmless, and part of that which heterosexuals cannot dip their hands into, because their business lies elsewhere. The only business one has is ethics.
@TheAlexANGST You mean as society becomes more and more immoral its becoming "normal". The order God created is normal. A mental handicap is different than non handicap and doing wrong. Jesus Saves.
@MrEmeraldfusion For example, Nudists, they can do whatever they want in their home (i.e. walk around naked). It's not harming anyone, but in a modern society it... Well, it's becoming less and less unusual, but most people would still consider it unusual, but it doesn't make it wrong, and it doesn't make them "abnormal" by an ethically based definition. Such a definition would make only those whose actions are not objectively ethical from a rational standpoint, "abnormal".
