I don't think at the time there were two more beautiful performers who might have made this superb, yet brief dance number! Both classically trained dancers, I think they were an amazing duo! Even though James "lost the girl" to Mario at the end, there was something unique in their pairing. Wish I'd seen them do more!

  • @early60srcool Thanks so much early60srcool! These 2 were incredibly attractive, and graceful! Sad that James didn't get the girl. Think he made up for it many years later in "All My Children!"

  • Absolutely Fab. It wasn't until I got much older that I realized the strength combined with seemingly easy gracefulness that is one of the combinations of good dancers of all dancing styles!

    That was beautiful!

  • @shanghaibenny2 SB2, you're right! The combo of Mario's "glass-shattering" voice at 1:57 may well have been the crushing blow to these 2 winners; at least in the movie! So good to hear from you! In reality, both Rita and Mario had some of the steamiest liaisons in world history! So many thanks for your thoughts!

  • Fabulous! In many movies, if there is a romantic competition between a singer and a dancer, the singer always wins. Maybe, it's because the dancer sweats too much.

LOL That high-pitched blast at 1:57. Is Mario trying to break up the happy couple by bursting James's eardrums?

  • @tommyrall3 As always, I'm honored by your praise! Thank you so much for having noticed, and imagine, it only took one word to make my day! That was YOUR word!

  • Masterpiece.
