@commonguy1 In fact after doing some research the GC is heavier. You can thank the heavy V6 and Genesis frame for that.

Camaro hatch - 3,306

Camaro vert - 3,440

V6 manual GC - 3,389

V6 Auto GC - 3,397

Oh and the LS1 camaros have more whp stock....power to weight = camaro. (This is why stock LS1's are low 13 second to high 12's stock and GC's are low 14 to mid 13's stock)

Any idea what mods both cars have? Camaro were also underated on hp. I believe the ls1 push like 345hp stock.

@Ibanez91 Yeah the SS was much faster than this car. 12.3 @ 120 to a (what I think the announcer said) 13.03. These two cars are not close. That GC and a stock LS1 would me close

@commonguy1 Genesis coupes are not light. What year mustang and Camaro? LS1 camaro with equal drivers will beat a GC all day. This coming from a GC owner.

I beat a mustang gt in my genesis coupe all stock...and a camaro...u need to look at the power vs weight ratio...before u judge...

@cjtimmerman My how ignorant you are. The Camaro trapped 120mph, the Genesis looks like it trapped around 108mph. Not very much competition there, the SS just didn't get out of the hole like it should have.
