MJ played against Stockton/Malone, Payton/Kemp, Drexler/Porter, Barkley. You call them scrub teams? Utah had the #1 ALL TIME Assist leader and the #2 ALL TIME Points leader. If they didn't deserve a ring, WHO THE FUCK DOES?
Hakeem Olajuwon, one of the best centers ever, nearly always lost in the conference (semi-)finals against those teams that MJ beat in the finals.

@bumperboy2sports Oh shut up.
MJ won '91 against the Pistons in the Conference Finals and against the Lakers in the Finals. Magic was 31 yo and Worthy was 29, and on the other side MJ was 27 and Pippen was 25.
Being 30 yo is still "in prime" - what you lose physically you gain in expierence. Just look at how clutch Dirk Nowitzki was last year with his 32 y.
Bird was the best when he was 29 yo in '86.
MJ was so dominant that other great players retired with no ring, the 90s had good teams too.

Bird and Magic.
That's just great sportsmanship.

LARRY BIRD WAS A BAD DUDE...LARRY BIRD VERSUS MAGIC WAS EPIC...BIRD BATTLED BERNARD KING, DR. J, GERVIN, ENGLISH, WORTHY, AGUIRE, DANTLEY, DOMINIQUE...FOR THAT REASON...BIRD IS A GREATER PLAYER THAN JORDAN...THE MAGIC AND KAREEM LAKERS AND THE BIRD CELTICS WOULD EASILY KILL JORDAN'S BULLS...I WOULD'VE LOVE TO SEEN BIRD'S CELTICS OR MAGIC AND KAREEM'S LAKERS DESTROY THOSE SCRUB TEAMS OF THE 90'S YEAR AFTER YEAR!!

@ lyjo21 Thanks.

@Jehstfan probably 2003 since he mentionned his condition "11 years ago"

I grew up in Indy and always was a Bird fan. it was so tough watching the Celts lose 3 outta the 4 championships to the Lakers...Magic, Magic! He speaks from the bottom of his heart! Earvin, is one of the only few players that I truly feel that would play today's game for no amount of $ money for the love of his sport........ After MJ..Magic the 2nd best that there ever
was! We will never know if the NBA will ever reach that level of prominence of the glory days again??
-
What year was this?
-
As a life-long Lakers fan here in New England...boy, do I miss the days of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird...two titans who played for the pure love of the game. Basketball will never return to that level again.

Pat Riley looks like the villain in a bad 90s movie.
Magic is the original M.J.
