I've just invested in 120 set tin of thes epencils. Glad I made the right decision and it was based on your video here. They are lovely pencils to work with. A bit pricy but better than spending money on tobacco.

@Kiwikick238 I've had good luck with the Staedtler it has two holes and is circular. It's blue on top and silver in the middle. Just Google it and you'll find it on Amazon. I tried many others but this seems to work the best. Good luck.

I have a question, most other brands that are far more popular and easier to find than this series will tell you to get replacement pencils from local stores or online websites, then when you go out and try to get one replaced, you'll stumble upon the fact they don't have the color you need, if this happens to the most common series, then I wonder how hard it must be to get this particular pencils replaced or are they not?

I have been looking for some new pencils and decided to watch this video to give me an idea about the Polychromo pencils. However, the video does Faber-Castell no favours whatsoever as the camera angle shows us more of the artist's hand than what she is doing with the pencil! Did nobody in Faber-Castell watch this video?...........

@hilsrgr8 Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the poor camera angles. However, we would highly recommend watching our "On the Go" video instead. This video has won numerous awards including both the Telly Award and an ADDY award.

I have wax-based Prismacolor pencils, and I hate them because I can NEVER completely cover the paper with them: the little white spots show through no mater how much blending I do.
Do the oil-based Polychromos give true, smooth 100% coverage?

Thanks for the question. Polychromos pencils will allow you to completely cover the paper versus the wax blocking that you experienced with another brand. Heavy Wax filler in other brands causes this problem as well "waxy bloom" problems (foggy wax-film rising to the surface after art is complete that has to be tediously removed). Thick 3.8 mm leads are SV bonded (glued the entire length of the barrel) allows you to put thick rich color down in layers without worry about breaking the lead.
