Los Olimareños es el nombre del grupo de canto popular uruguayo formado inicialmente por Pepe Guerra, Waldemar Sasías y Braulio López, el cual luego adoptó la conformación del dúo integrado por Pepe y Braulio, se estima que en el año 1962. Su nombre tiene relación con haber nacido en la ciudad de Treinta y Tres (Uruguay), a orillas del río Olimar. El beso que te di es una canción sacada del álbum "Los Olimareños en parís" grabado en 1964.

    reconosco mi ignorancia en la musica uruguaya, soy mexicano, y hace unas horas escuche este tema en Radio Nicolaita, una estacion de radio aca en Morelia y me parecio muy buena, a los pueblos, lejos de diferenciarlos, los une el canto de su gente y con esta cancion me doy cuenta que alla tambien hay quienes sienten igual que yo, saludos desde mexico a todos los Hermanos Latinos de toda America.

    Hermoso mensaje. Gardel decía que en América Latina atrás de cada puerta eramos los mismos. Y Atahualpa Yupanqui dijo "América Latina es un solo poncho". Es así. Acá en Argentina muchos no lo saben y se quieren sentir puramente europeos. Pero están equivocadísimos.
