MISS EARTH 2ND Eco-Fashion Design Grand Finale - PART3

The dress is primarily made of Cement sack, the hems fringed with some strips it is like the earth a canvass for an artist. Whatever it may contain would be either a beauty for the environment or a chaos of environmental problems and destruction & abuse of the earth the piece is more of a collage symbolizing the design concept wherein constructions littlest pieces are the finest embellishments tells all the story and the artist would be the species living on earth the human us

OTHER RECYCLED CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS USED :

~ duct tape & electrical tape in stipes pattern mimics the buildings

~ silver & shiny vinyl cut-outs are the big & small house

~ metal roof nail rings are us, the people on chaos!

~ industrial tape as the criss-cross garter effect. I chose the Fragile because it symbolizes as Mother Earths statement, shouting out how delicate our environment and begging for some attention - asking for HELP

~ focal point of the design is the big bow has an inner frame made of aluminum, a spare part of industrial light housing. It is mainly shaped with wire screen representing a cage, prison or lost of freedom; while the nails inserted in the middle part are hindrance or the people who has the power, but has forsaken earth. Wood shavings & telephone wires are inside the bow these means nature overpowered by the swirls of technology trapped in cage, locked by the people abusing our nature

~ finished & splattered with Red, Yellow & Black house paint it symbolizes Toxicity - the pollution

~ Extra but a very important accessory is the HAT it has the 4 Elements of Life: Fire (orange flexible hose), Water (black garden net), Air (swirls of electric wire) & Earth (window & wall vinyl circle cut-outs)

~ Mother Earth would be the model of this creation as she sashay on the runway, shell show the people the advocacy of your foundation she is the voice of the Earth & the creatures we share the earth with!

Now, who says that FASHION cant save the earth?
