  • @rayallin TRNN is not supported by McClatchy. We have a deal for office space and from time to time interview their journalists.

I would agree but I rather be free myself. What if we drop all currencies and just work for each other free of charge or just items? Money is just paper with a supposed value we make up, except for nickels/dimes/pennies/quarters. What if your tyranny is reasonable and you can make a contract with him/her about wages and benefits? Like when doing good, an increase in wages and better benefits when doing bad, you can agree to wages cuts and a slight reduce in benefits? Opinion lol.

  • @mojorhythm

True, But what if you kept the rest. Either 80-90% off over? I have to look at the income levels because you know every state has a different wage system(from $5-10.25 an hour). I can see where you are coming from, for sure. But the only problem with progressive taxation is that it can suddenly up to 50% and how will that single mother going to survive? So both progressive taxation and flat tax has its pros and cons.

  • Libertarian philosophy is actually contrary to laissez-faire capitalism. The amount of freedom one has is dependent on ones social and economic status. Any centralized forms of authority which have the power to coerce (private tyrannies can force wage slavery with a complacent government) necessarily subjugate what freedom you have, unless you are the fatcat barking the orders. America is actually the only place in the world that has this completely ass-backwards definition of libertarianism.

  • @ZSwierczynski A single mother who works at hooters will have a much harder time forfeiting 20% of her paycheck then a successful hedge fund manager. If you value compassion, solidarity and sympathy, progressive taxation is the only viable option.

Bear in mind that the people whom make the most money are not necessarily the most productive. They can just happen to invest in the right mutual fund or own the right shares.

  • @konshoff Link some of those facts that you checked last time.

  • @Arkinight You probably need a dose of fresh air along with some statistics. Last time I checked the tax was progressive and you don't even have to be a millionaire to end up paying way above 50%. Private health care is private and that means it has nothing to do with state budget. Military spending is constant but by saying that I don't mean I agree with it. The state budget is called state for obvious reasons. The death tax is the most disgusting perversion of government's force.

  • @konshoff Federal military spending, privatized health-care and favorable tax brackets for the top one percent caused the budget shortfall for most states.

    My name is not Paul.

"How did these millionaires caused the state bankruptcies?" They didn't - you're using non sequitors and strawmen and refuse to respond to the facts.

  • @Arkinight Trolls? You must be reading "The Hobbit". That's a good start. Perhaps you gonna make a leap from fiction to realism one day. But let me ask you a question - How did these millionaires caused the state bankruptcies? Coz that is really the issue here. By watching this video one can get an idea that the guy who owns Menard's ruined financially Wisconsin, Greece and Ireland and now he better pays for it. Well it is an easier target than Goldman Sachs isn't it Paul?

  • @Arkinight Yah I think that would be oh... lest see Corporate socialists like GM, Chrysler and maybe a few Banks and lets not for get the Saving and Loan people that Reagan that loveliest of Fascist people bailed out. Socialists I can't believe people still say shit like that after all the bail outs. They must listen to Fox News or something and believe the tripe that come out of there mouths.

  • @konshoff I'm asking trolls like you.
