The admittedly pompous Rush Limbaugh was accused by not just the MSM (main stream media), but by Obama's administration and spokespeople, as hoping for failure of the latest stimulus bill and the administration, comparing it to Rush hoping for America to Fail. With distinct clarity, Rush clears the air of the liberal anti-rush propaganda.

Seriously, I want to know why you perceive the conservative desire to self govern as hateful. There's always fringe wackos that hate (on another page, I let a very rude, hateful comment from a conservative stand just to show that), but the average person leaning left or right are just good people that want to work and earn and pursue happiness in whatever form they perceive. I think it's the red and blue power brokers in Congress that we should scrutinize rather than generalize the constituents.

By their fruits shall you know them. I've got a conservative friend that's been out of work for 2 years that gave over $500 of his hard cash to feed the poor last year and Joe Biden on his $300K Senator's income gave an average of $380 per year. Biden's not compassionate, he just wants to control our (yours and mine) money.

5. You're right Conservatives don't believe in Minority Rights. There's no such thing. There's just rights and Minority and Majority have equal access (read the 14th Amendment)

6. Children's health care. That's rather ambiguous. If your argument is that Conservatives want to see sick kids on the street, that's ludicrous. If Conservatives don't want to force one person to pay for another person's child's healthcare, you might have a point.

1. Love her or hate her, GOP had a woman on their ticket while the DEMs roasted their one strong female candidate, Hillary.

2. You can reproduce all you'd like, I think you'll have a problem finding a conservative who'll stop you, but you might want to apply some common sense for your own good.

3. Conservatives want privacy - they want big government to leave them alone.

4. Habeas Corpus for Citizens, Residents, and even Illegals, just not for foreign combatants. (I hate terrorists, don't you?)

But, you are correct that Republican's mistake is that they abandoned their principles (any principals for that matter) as soon as they had a powerful majority. Even now as a minority, they're turning up as gutless Neutorariti (my version of Limbaugh's "Casterati") and many of the current GOP aren't going to survive the next election any better than the DEMs in congress once the Dow flatlines at 1,000 and gas costs $80 a gallon in a 20% unemployed America. Not to inspire fear, I'm just saying...

I'm not sure where Nazis fit into this, and I'm not even sure if you're referring to Republicans as Nazis, or Obama, the One, as the leader of the New Tax'n Spend Nazis. Whatever the case, Obama needs to start taking responsibility for his decisions and stop referring to the prior administration. That's just plain juvenile and I don't accept it from my 10 year old kid, so why would I expect it from Hey-Im-just-like-lincoln Obama in the nation's highest office.

J Rubin, as a serious inquiry, please share why you feel that Republicans HATE most Americans. I'm sure there are some that do, just as there are liberals that hate (or more aptly, loath) America, but why is that the impression you are left with? I differ as to my impression, but in reasonable logic, explain this characterization of the Conversvative movement.

You're right and you're wrong. The Republicans lost due to their own mistakes. But you're wrong on what they did to mess up. It wasn't being principled and conservative, but being corrupt and compromising that lost the election. They'll be a lot better as a minority and that will hopefully instill a lasting lesson to stick with traditional principles and keep the government small, transparent, and graft free. I can take or leave the radio personality of Rush, but he was spot on with this speech.

Gotta love it! It's probably a good thing that repukes are focusing on 2012. Because they have no viable suggestions or options for the crises we're in now. They have absolutely nothing to bring to the table. You would think after having your ass handed to you the last 2 elections that there would be some soul searching, and looking for ways to improve your party. But they turn to limbaugh, Laughable!! So repukes get used to being in the minority, It's obvious that's the best place for you!!!
