"rofl I love how the Eurofighter shoots the Su-35 with that ASRAAM when its behind it."
The Typhoon has integrated HMS/HMD (Helmet Mounted Sight/Display) which can be used to target anything the pilot can physically turn to look at. On top of that ASRAAM & Iris-T both have LOAL (Lock On After Launch) capability meaning they can fire at a target even once it has left the pilot or sensors FOV. This gives a full 360° engagement envelope and the very real ability to fire "over the shoulder" :)

Because if I were a defense contractor, and I was shown this vid, my only thought would be "if they were as high when they conceived their aircraft as they obviously were when they made the video, I certainly don't want to buy it".

not only a lethal fighting machine, but a work of art and a credit to European engineering. it just also happens to be the best fighting aircraft in the game, sorry America, but the f-22 doesn't come close

Think about it, if you are a defense contractor you are only really interested in what the plane can do. This video displays useage of multiple weapon types for different missions. The video also shows the aircraft's defensive and offensive capabilities. So what if the acting is lame? No defense industry on the planet gives a rat's tukus about that.

that was umm...cheesy.

European technology is a bit behind because they dont or didnt have the funding to keep up with American technological pace. The Europeans dont even have a AESA radar for their fighters in service yet, There is a generational difference between F-22 and the Eurocanards,

this is like the kinda stuff they said the f35 would do but in pacific visone it was run all over by sukhois sure it was only a gun fight but they are still happen and because they didnt put thrust vectoring on the f35 it has poor manuvability i think thats it's 1 let daow all it's combat systeams are good but manuvability not i think euro fighter same good technologiy but in dog fight i think it lacks

... However its great electronics and systems which reduce significantly a pilot workload, combining with great payload make this plane very suitable for ground strike operations.
To all those who can only just push a "thumb down" button without any reasonable respond... The only conclusion I can make is that truth sometimes hurts. You can't oppose anything to my words, but you can push a button... good for you.

... But till then Soviets already had a Mach 3 interceptor, MiG-23... so, Americans built F-15, to which Soviets answered with SU-27, then the US create F-22, Russia answers with SU-35, maybe 47later. Anyway... you see a chain here.
Any plane with latest electronics and weapons is good for BVR. But latest developements shows that the EF probably will not suit for close dogfights.

Despite it was designed to fight MiG-21 it performed very well against MiG-23 as well. But it is not a surprise too... MiG-23 wasn't made for tight dogfights, despite that latest versions of MiG-23 could beat F-16.
As I said before, in modern technology nothing would go ahead if an "enemy" wouldn't make something better.
Soviets had a MiG-21, Americans had an F-4 which was equal, but they wanted something not equal, but superior, so they build F-16. Soviets answered by MiG-29.....

Sure. The F-16 was only designed to fight MiG-21s. The MiG-29 was/is a full size fighter with full size fighter ability.
For someone that don't understand even works better...this is a typical "Propaganda" movie. By the way, where are the Indians?? Because the cowboy is already there :)
