This is an example of exercises that you can perform with a partner in your dojo with your friends.
These exercises should be practice hundreds or thousands of times if you want to really understand them.
This is mostly Zen-No Zen exercises.
In order to be really in shape one has to be connected with the opponent, be one with the other and then the proper reaction-time will be achieved.

The one who is attacking must "not think" try to surprise with your attack and try 100% of your speed, power, etc.

The one who is practicing Zen No-Zen, must be one with the attacker, and empty your mind of thoughts and questions (when is he going to?...where is he going to...? etc...?)
And then off course...get rid of your fears, all of them.

When you achieve this state of mind you can start feeling that you are one with your opponent and your reaction will be only the other half of what your opponent is creating. You (both) will be like a team.

All of this require a lot, I mean hundreds or even thousands of times of repetition.

To get rid of all of your questions, thoughts and fears is the true goal behind your karate practice and can give you a key to succeed in life, in other areas beside karate.

Good practice!
Oss
Martin.
