Genius who doesn't have a pretentious or nasty bone in his body. I also heard that music journalist say that Paddy was his best interviewee but I don't remember who he was. But he must have been right. Paddy is so interesting.

That Steph McQueen has some of the most heart wrenching sounds and tunes, you can hear the pain and sweetness so well, i played it a lot during my last break up and when i hear it again its terribly moving. he's made durham and the north east of england a place of charm and curiousity for me.

Believe me, Sean, by Paddy's standards, this is arrogant! Still, I once heard a show on BBC Radio 2, on which a sports, a music and a film journalist were asked to say who were the nicest people they'd met in their respective fields. The music journalist (I don't recall who it was) said it was, without a doubt, Paddy M. :-)
