This was a commission from a very nice L5R player who wanted a little something special to give her husband. A quick timelapse of the process, more info, images, and video on www.steveargyle.com

  • 2 things,

    1) you have to leave some time at the end so we can pause for the finished piece, or at least have a good 3 seconds to admire it.

    2) I like this way of time lapse, but can you also do the classy way? where you record yourself doing it w/ maybe fraps or something, so we can see brush strokes, techniques, ect.

    still cool

  • Yes, I'm planning some actual video tutorials, with real-time painting and commentary. Tips, tricks, custom brushes, all that cool jazz. Just haven't had the time yet.

These are made from photoshop files of finished work, they're basically layer reveals.

Thanks for the tip on holding out the image at the end, I'll definately be implementing that.

    Cheers!

  • One of my favourite art from you. I discovered you by playing MTG and I enjoyed immediatly your art but I find your L5R art more amazing as characters are more captivating.
