The seated Dumbbell press is one of the best exercises for building mass on your shoulders. Make sure to use the "Arnold Press" position. This means turn your palms slightly in toward your face at about a 45 degree angle.

Doing so will take stress out of the rotator cuff and put it in the deltoid muscle. You can really get aggressive with this exercise.

  • Two part question.1) When doing the normal db press, should the weights be close to the ears? 2) When doing the Arnold Press, isn't that like doing a 'pseudo' military press because the weights are now a little in front of the chest?
