I watched this film when I was 14 & I couldn't get the speech out of my head as my cousin lived and died with cerebral palsy another had severe learning difficulties and is a child in an adults body I felt resentful for their lives. Years later I discovered the film was based on a true story, no other film has had a more profound affect on me - I'd love for every school to show the movie and teach the poem - the next generation need to be taught an alternative view of disability.
