New York has put the brakes on extreme fossil fuel extraction in the state for over three years.

Governor Andrew Cuomo, in office for less than a year, has plans to push through new regulations that would allow hydrofracking for shale gas ("fracking") to occur.

This is a clear message from New Yorkers that Fracking will be as politically poisonous to our politicians as it is to our most precious resource: water.
