Shoenfeld WAS a good fighter for his first 4 years only. If you read Punch Imlach's book , he will mention that Jim stopped answering the bell after that, for whatever reason. Imlach was not impressed.I guess Shoenfeld was looking to preserve his pretty face for those Mattress adds he was doing in Buffalo in the late 70s and eraly 80s.If you are a Buffalo or Leafs fan, read Imlach's book, its great.
