@Christhefireshark I agree with your observation about the history of the Russian Empire and early USSR after it. The USSR in the beginning was governed by working class councils(or Soviets in Russian) once they were free from the oppression of the emperor and ruling class. However, it wasn't long until a corrupt bureaucracy hijacked what was for a while a very democratic federation of freely associated republics in unity and solidarity.
