man im missing this kinda OTT moments in wretling..it can get real boring seeing a dude with ego issues and trunks wrestling with his real name..not much ppl can pull that off,,bring back the gimmicks

The WCW's golden age was made up mainly of wrestlers that shot to fame in the WWF, ie, Hogan, Nash, Hall, Luger, Savage. These were established stars, the wcw didnt create them. When the wwf took stonecold from wcw, its because they didnt spot the potential in him. The wcw's claim to fame is that for ONE year they got a few more viewers then the wwf, its pathetic really isnt it?. They might as well say 'Our programme is a pile of shit for 95% of the time'. WWF > WCW. Just ask Nash.

@pr0tax Don't get it wrong, though...Hulky and Nash had a great NWO main event for the WCW title, when Hulk won with a single, devastating poke to the chest!!

@pr0tax Well, except the guys like Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Misterio, Saturn, DDP, Kidman..all those guys that set the show off with great WRESTLING that ended up dying as the NWO killed it.

@pr0tax i dont think he was the main reason WWE was getting beat in ratings lol Its not just the main event that makes the show y'know. And just as easily, your argument could be used against you like "and thats why WWF ended up owning WCW in ratings"

@giannaluva65 if you read all the comments posted and I'm sure millions of others would negate your comment and agree that it was! Back in 96-97 you can't tell me it was the likes of Disco Inferno and Alex Wright that made the ratings? Everybody waited for the end of Nitro to see what the nWo/Sting angle was!
