If you've been thinking about making a switch from being a meat-eater to be a full-blown veggie, then check out host Bridget McManus's book review of "Skinny Bitch," written by Kim Barnouin and Rory Freedman. This book gives readers -- and now viewers -- tart-tongued, no-holds-barred advice to women who want to live a healthy, meatless lifestyle.

  • Soda is liquid satan LOL I have not had a soda since 2005.

  • I read this book myself. It's very eye-opening. Peopl who've commented saying "they'ye self-righteous know-it-alls"... Well, they got results, didn't they? They aren't know-it-alls. This book preaches a vegan diet, written by two women with nutrition degrees. They've successfully coached themselves and others. So before anyone else preaches that they're know-it-alls... make sure you read this first. Ever since I've read it I've cut back on meat and dairy and it does work! Great book... READ IT.

  • Bridget, you are awesome.

I tried to be a vegetarian when i was like in 9th grade but quit when my mom cooked lasagna later that week...i'm weak.

Now i limit my meat eating and don't eat cow or pig cause poor cows and eww pigs.

  • Aha, absoutely gorgeous and hilarious.

I picked up that book and put it right back down... being a vegetarian doesn't work well with me, all the power to those who can be though. (:

  • If PETA really wanted animals to live they would stop killing them. They put down the majority of the animals they "rescue." (That's right up there with the abortion center bombers who kill people because all life is sacred.)

PETA would rather waste money on controversial billboards and ad campaigns than actually use the money to help animals in need. Shame on them!

  • such a jerk

  • Bridget, you're reviewing a book you haven't read?!? I love you, but you've got to read it! I think it's a good book - not for everyone - but I personally learned a lot and went back to veg because of it.
