Child Abuse Statistics show that about 900,000 children are the victims of child abuse or neglect in the united states each year and about 1500 of these children die. Each week child protective service agencies through out the United States receive more than 50,000 reports of suspected child abuse or neglect. In 2002, 2.6 million reports concerning the welfare of approximately 45 million children were made. We all share a responsibility to help keep our children safe from Sexual, Mental, Physical abuse. anybody that does that to their child deserves to die...ive been beatin with frying pans an pieces of thorn bush an sticks and belts had plates bowls and cups chucked at my head...finaly one day only about 5 months ago my mom threw a frying pan at me so i beat the hell out of her....idk if it wuz right to do or not but i put up with that shit ever since i can remember....im turning 17 dec. 6 and since that day nobody has touched me....i feel like i should ask....did i do the right thing?

@Trueghetto1 you're the EXACT same age as me. well,11 months ago..maybe you're a year older than me.but you have my birthday, I was abused much like you were, by my father,I escaped that,on Sunday 10/30/11 My dad shot up meth, and his ex gf convinced my dad to try to find me,its Wednesday,I just started going back to school,since I drive,I was kept at home, and had to call the school,and update them to let them know I was safe.My dad was much like your abuser,and you did do the right thing.(:
