@figmentofthedeadbeat his first album was done before Wu's first album, it came out after Wu because of legalities with Shy's age at the time. Shy was on level grounds with Wu, not up under them. The confusion comes from him repping them, cuz they were still a movement for SI, and like big brothers to him.
