Part 2 Review of 1911 mags I have tried out in the past. My Springfield 1911 loves all these magazines but my Colt 1991A1 series 80 pistol is picky.

Enjoy, comment, ask questions.

  • Excuse my English. I hope you understand: thank you for your technical information about the Chargers (magazines) and especially the relationship with the springs.

  • @ANNAKRUNTZ Sure no problem.... Glad you enjoyed it !

  • KIMPRO TAC MAGS are awesome for 1911s.great video

  • Are they the ones with removable flush fitting base plates ?

  • i think so all i know is there very easy to load and there made solid! there like 30.00 but there woth it. they fit my springfield gi and all kimbers perfect. my colts a little fussy.

  • Yeah the new Colt 45 auto's have been giving me issues, the older ones seem to be made right though.

  • If the spring tension is too high just clip one coil off of the bottom of the spring.

  • @theARMORYchannel which ones would you say are better? wilson combat mags or kimpro tac mags?

  • @JamesDBlanc I know you said 9 round mag but i have 2 ten round mags. one from kimber and one from wilson combat... both are very nice. but the wilson combat is slightly better

  • You're very concerned with the followers tipping up, but under what circumstances would a follower tip UP? If the follower slips past the slide stop you would be in trouble, as you wouldn't know the gun was empty, and you'd have to rip the mag out, but the follower still wouldn't tip up. If you do another mag test, check out the Check-Mate Industries competition 8-rounder; I think it's the best 8-round .45 mag on the market.

  • Your comments on the Wilson Combat Mags are dead on. I had the same problem with failure to feed. I have a Dan Wesson CCOB, and when you load the mag in with the slide to the rear, and you release the slide, it would fail to feed.

  • Does anyone make M1911 magazines that holds 9 rounds? I've heard from a friend that they do.

  • what mags do you recommend for an AO 1911? because my two cheap mags have given me some issues on the last round.

out of 200 rounds my AO jammed 4 times, 3 were mag related though. the other one was a stovepipe...oh well...shit happens.
