Tameside's top cop is has launched a crackdown to bring people to justice before Christmas.
The crackdown is the division's latest hard hitting operation geared to targeting suspected offenders and has been launched to curb a potential pre-Christmas rise in offences.
Chief Superintendent Nick Adderley said: "Arrest packs are ready and my officers have been tasked to bring these people to the cells.
"My message to offenders is if you know we want to speak to you, hand yourself in quickly before we come and get you. If we have to come and get you we will put your door in, drag you out of bed in the early hours of the morning and put you in a cell.
"If you thinking of committing any crimes think how you would feel about spending Christmas away from your families and friends - either on your own in a cell or one with police officers. We have to be in the police station over the festive period -- you don't -- the choice is yours.
