Holistic Medicine has been a very 'hot' topic for several decades. Even the name/description of it has evolved over this time. It has been called Eastern, alternative, complimentary and most recently integrative.
No matter how one refers to it, this is a medical lexicon that primarily has a history that pre-dates modern 'Western' medicine.
These technologies include the discovery or evolution of new, non-invasive and profoundly efficacious effects. Such is the case with Western Medicine as well.
Both 'Eastern' (as many of the alternative traditions come from) and 'Western' Medicine have their place in health and healing.
The ideal approach is the combination of both traditions going from less to most invasive as each situation requires. Hopefully one day this will be the norm.
