This is the Multicolor 18-LED Light Bulb 110V (sku 1474)
from DealExtreme.com

The first half of the video is looking at the light bulb itself, and the second half shows the light being projected on a surface about 1 foot away.

  • It's kinda weird actually. If you leave them off for a long time, (like, several hours, I'd say) then when you turn them all on at once, they all start from the same color, but then fade at slightly different speeds, so that within a minute or two, they are all seemingly random (this is how the four I have behave - yours might act slightly differently).

However, if you shut them off and turn them on only a little while later, they will start at whatever color they left off on.

  • that is poor quality its not a bulb it is an RGB Spot

  • hey where did you get the housing for the light bulb? are there any on dealextreme?

  • very true i ended up buying one and its jsut one LED that changes color also its not very bright

  • It's a valid concern though when buying a $4 led light straight from Hong Kong... but I agree these are very good. And to Generalvaldez - the one from the other place does have a remote but it is $40. That is 10 times the price of this light.

  • good LEDs aren't supposed to burn out

  • Cool. For the record- I did buy 5, and they have been used ALOT and all still work great.

  • The one from Think geek has a remote

  • I saw a comment on DX mentioning this bulb shifts color "pretty fast". Wow, no kidding.

Im thinking of getting 5 of these to put into

the strip of sockets above my bathroom sink. Does the color cycle reset every time it turns on- or does it start with whatever color it turned off while displaying? Im hoping to have them all going on different cycles to mess with whomever is in my bathroom at the time... :)
