The Song of General Kim Il Sung

Kim Il-Sung was a Korean revolutionary, a communist and guerrilla warfighter against the Japanese occupation and colonization of the Korean penninsula. He later founded, with Soviet aid, the socialist sovereign state called the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea. Kim Il-Sung founded the Juche ideology, which is the political way of Socialist Korea.

Kim Il-Sung defended his nation in the Korean War with Chinese assistance. This specific song was composed in 1948, but was popular among Korean and Chinese troops.

Kim-Il Sung died in 1994, but is the Eternal president of North Korea.

Different lyrics:

1.
Baekdu Mountains roll, stained with blood
Long Yalu River meanders, soaked in blood
Today Free Chosŏn's wreath of glories
Radiates its holy rays around the land

2.
Vast snowy fields of Manchuria please tell me
Endless night deep in the Taiga please tell me
Immortal guerilla warrior, who is he?
Outstanding patriot, who is it?

3.
Liberator of the working people, our savior dear
The great sun of the new Chosŏn, democratic and free.
For we all rally around the 20 Principles,
Throughout North Korea, spring has come at last!

Refrain

Oh- Our brilliant and beloved General dear
Oh- Our exalted leader General Kim Il-sung

1.
On Jangbaek mountains, there are bloodstains.
By Aprok river, there are bloodstains soaked
Those holy stains throw light over
the bouquet of free Korea today.

2.
The snowstorm on Manju plain, tell a story!
The long night in the deep forest, tell a story!
Who is the immortal partisan?
Who is the peerless patriot?

3.
He is the benefactor who released the labourers.
He is the great Sun for new democratic Korea.
All people gather to the 20-point political program.
In North Korea, New spring comes everywhere

Refrain

Oh- what a sweet name, General Kim Il-sung!
Oh- what a glorious name, General Kim Il-sung!

1.
Bright traces of blood on the crags of Jangbaek still gleam,
Still the Amnok carries along signs of blood in its stream.
Still do those hallowed traces shine resplendently
Over Korea ever flourishing and free.

2.
Tell, blizzards that rage in the wild Manchurian plains,
Tell, you nights in forests deep where the silence reigns,
Who is the partisan whose deeds are unsurpassed?
Who is the patriot whose fame shall ever last?

3.
He severed the chains of the masses, brought them liberty,
The sun of Korea today, democratic and free.
For the Twenty Points united we stand fast,
Over our fair homeland spring has come at last!

Refrain

So dear to all our hearts is our General's glorious name,
Our own beloved Kim Il Sung of undying fame.

  • Long live Kim Il-Sung, you will always be in our hearts and spirit.

  • This is so wonderful. Long Live The Eternal President.

  • @jacarandaxia I agree with you fully, but it cant be as bad as how the media says it.

  • @WrestleFan1993 Yes very true, his father was a better leader. It's also a shame that there is a lack of arable land which is why there is "starvation", this is because a lot of arable land was destroyed in the korean war.

  • Thank you dear leader.

  • @lazysoupness time to celebrate with Nothkorea =)

hope i can stay in NK this time.

  • Great Song of Great Country.

  • Beautiful!

    Manse!!

  • @kimilsungiste58

I appreciate your dedication comrade, truely beautiful.

  • My main problem is that ALL OF YOU think that you know the best what the world needs, mind your own fucking business, and look into your own backyard instead of over the fence. No wonder the whole world (except the british) hates you. American neoimperialism. Sick.
