  • hello i am commenting from ubuntu 10.04.1 image version 2.6.32.27

    lol

  • @jigglesnap i know u said ur using ubuntu but im not sure if ur on the last stable release and having all this hell to? becuase if u upgrade or do a fresh install or w/e those problems will probably go away. If your getting a shit load of bugs (on the last non beta version) then im shocked as I've been doing well. What file system are you using? EXT3 or EXT4 becuase EXT4 is faster but is rumored to mess up config files(since then lots of patches were applied to hopefully fix this). O.o

  • @jigglesnap

man i just dont have enough room in 1 comment to tell you what i got to say (without pissing you off hopefully) but if ubuntu isn't your thing then yeah fuck it if windows works better for you. I really do recomend it becuase i've gotten as mad as u at this OS and at windows to shit. All OS give us hell sometimes. Ubuntu has been updated. It's pretty stable now a days and powerful to! I'm running X64 btw... FLASH IS EXCELLENT in Chrome! Trust me bro.

  • @jiggle

i wont lie- I don't belive your trolling at all becuase (this comment will probably piss off hardcore users) but i did have the same attitude your having now after "surfing the web and crashing" yeah that is pretty true thats all this OS could do a few years ago ahahahaha LOL!!! Now no... it's actually improved. Give the lattest (non beta) 10 version a shot. It's well worth it man. ALOT OF SHIT IS FIXED! I haven't had crashes (yay). It use to piss me off but now I love ubuntu alot :p

  • @jigglesnap

no it's not html5..im using flash it comes preloaded in Chrome (at least in linux but it should have it in windows as well preloaded)... the problem with CHROME + FLASH in linux is due to a plugin disable the ad blocker plugin for youtube and the flash problems should pretty much disapear(at least that's what worked for me). The hack and slash in terminal's isn't for EVERY problem I encountered. I only did alot of hacking and slashing setting things up after install pretty much.

  • @True2TheBlueYoViGang You have to do hack and slash in the terminal on a regular basis. Stuff is constantly breaking and needing to be fixed. I USE UBUNTU; I'm not just making this up or trolling.

YouTube does indeed work better in Chrome than Firefox, but that's because it's using HTML5 instead of Flash. The freetards at Mozilla are boycotting H.264 because it's "not free enough", so you get crappier and just as non-free Flash video instead.

  • @jigglesnap

well honestly once u do some hack and slash in the terminal, the software center as well, ubuntu is quite nice... u just gota take time the first time around after an install to get things running. BTW major tip # use CHROME BROWSER and all flash will work. It's gotten better give 10.10 a shot. I know how u feel becuz i've totally swpied ubuntu off my HD several times in the past but the new version delivers a punch and it WORKS! It kicks ass and i love it. :)

  • @lippol94 I've used Ubuntu for 4 years. Poor me, indeed. I feel sorry for anyone else who has to use it.

  • @jigglesnap: Of course You have never used Ubuntu,,, Poor you!

  • @BUCKYAUSTIN You're exactly right. Linux is free, and no one uses it because it doesn't do what they want. It continues to have less than 1% market share for very good reasons.

The reason Linux is such a failure on the desktop is because developers care primarily about freedom and ignore usability, while users care primarily about usability and don't care about freedom.
