@curlycurlsgirls Sorry. I posted that previous comment from the wrong channel. :P Anyway, no. I believe that people have the right to express their views. Prophet Muhammad (saw) couldn't turn comments off. He talked to those who slandered Islam.

@shanc1193 Don't get me wrong, but in those days there was no way to stop them from saying abusive stuff, now that there is the internet (comments) and you can stop people from posting stuff on here why not stop people from saying abusive stuff... I mean i'm muslim too, and i despise it when people write things which disrespect Allah or the Prophet SAW, and if there is a way to stop then go for it, why allow racist people saying stuff...

@UzyG122 That won't get rid of them in real life. If we interact with them here, we might be able to get them to lighten up. If we try to stop them from making comments, that won't make them more open-minded. Muslims need to politely address criticism of Islam and then get over it. The way that Muslims reacted to the Muhammad (saw) cartoons, burning things down and harming people, brought shame upon the entire Islamic community. We justified his portrayal of Islam with our actions.
