Master Gardener Donna Koczaja shows us how to plant some common vegetables in the garden. Donna is using carrot seeds, but you can apply the same method with beets, Swiss chard, spinach, arugula, mustard greens, kale and other seeds.

You can read more about how to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store carrots here: http://www.growit.umd.edu/Vegetable%20Profiles/GE112LeafyGreens.pdf

This video is brought to you by the Home and Garden Information Center, part of University of Maryland Extension. Learn about our Grow It Eat It campaign, which provides resources and encourages people to start their own food gardens. http://www.growit.umd.edu/
