This is a condensed demo of my 2009 Pulsemonger FX pedal.

The instrument used in this demo was a Mike Dirnt Fender Precision Pro Bass guitar running through the pedal straight into an Audigy soundcard.

The Pulsemonger takes an input signal and converts it to a pulsewave that also has a mixable sub-octave pulsewave. Both pulse octaves pulsewidth/duty cycle are variable from about 5% to 50%. There is an on-board variable shape triangular LFO that can modulate both pulses simultaneously. Chorus/vibrato/tremelo/synth fuzz and other crazy noises can be had with this pedal.

Thanks to Danny of 'Sex Me Animal' for playing the Bass while I fiddled with the knobs.

  • i love the lfo knob. how do the cv's work? I bet a tone in progress pedal would kick ass to have with this

  • @calypsobombr I did attempt a tone control on the prototype but I felt it took too much of the original sound away. It does go well with other pedals though!

  • can u assign an expression pedal? This is a bad ass pedal. I have never heard the bass guitar go so synth.

  • @calypsobombr yes a standard expression pedal or mono CV source from doepfer/moog etc type products will work.

  • When I saw this hit Analogue Haven, I didn't think twice! Hit the "buy it now" right on the spot - just waiting for it to arrive! This guy is a total mad genius to come up with something like this - friggin' Brilliant!

  • Thanks! :D

  • wow

  • Wow, that thing sounds awesome! How does it fare using an active bass (I have an EBMM Stingray 5).

  • is it good for an active bass???

  • Dude... if you get that developed, I will totally buy one. That's insane.
