A performance of my own original, "Yiddish-ized" version of the classic "My Heart Belongs To Daddy" by Cole Porter. The result is "Mayn Hartz Iz Nor Far Daddy". Copyright 2000 Lisa Fishman.
The original song, which was described by Oscar Levant as "one of the most 'Yiddish' tunes ever written," inspired me to translate it into Yiddish and do it 'Klezmer' style.
Accompanying me on piano is New York's AMAZING pianist, arranger, composer, and musical director, Alex Rybeck.
I am beyond impressed by your talent Lisa. It's taken all my self control not to literally plotz my pants. Seriously, your voice and dramatic ability is simply wonderful :)

I love it! Although, I'm not jewish, but I almost could follow the words...
If your "heart belongs to daddy", it will show on any lenguage!
Very nice, indeed. You should record more american standard classics.
Congrats! ET.
