Medibuntu -

This popular third-party repository is not affiliated with Linux Ubuntu in any way, but provides many popular software packages (or as they put it, Multimedia, Entertainment & Distractions in Ubuntu) including Acrobat Reader, Real Player, Google Earth, and Skype.

Medibuntu has two components to its repository, free and non-free. The free component includes software which, although it is distributed with an open-source license, it is not distributed with Ubuntu because of legal issues in certain countries that prevent it from being freely available worldwide.

hey i recently installed ubuntu 10.10 and i updated all drives including nvidia video card...the ubuntu upadate mager downloades all the updates and installed,,,,but now all my videos are in blue in colour...please advice....thanks in advance....

Hello Nixie,

I recently installed Ubuntu 9.04 on an old slow-running Toshiba laptop as a single OS.

Like you said, there are no codecs to play mp3 and/or video.

I followed your instructions, but it didn't help.

What can be the reason(-s)?

Can it be due to the fact that the laptop is wired to the Internet via a router?

Any other reasons whatsoever?
