I wrote "I Don't Want To Die Alone" after hearing a well known actor, in an interview, make that statement. Then I noticed a number of people making the same expression...seems to be universal? The video is set in beautiful Joshua Tree Monument. Both Dan O'Dowd and myself felt that it would be the perfect place to provide a visual for the song.
It's a day in the life of a man with his thoughts, surrounded by solitude.

  • You have expressed something from deep within all our hearts. Something that we often feel we cannot express for ourselves. Thank you for that blessing. We are all now more human from your sharing.

  • Hello Randyn,

Your song touches the deep places and keeps me calling out for more. Isn't that the mark of musical achievement? Your music has the qualities that people mention about it here in their comments like "gentle, "reaching" and "superb vocals and harmony," but I wanted to add the quality of love. When a musician has hope and love in his heart then everything about his music shows it. There is a quality that shines. You are visionary that way. When is your next production? Sitamitch

  • A very gentle, but "reaching" song! Funny for me to watch this, though...I've lived here in Joshua Tree for 30+ years, and with all the wildlife, I have NEVER felt alone! (-: I've met more people from the city who came here to "get away" and who seemed infected with loneliness being lost in a sea of people! This song reflects what I felt from all those who visited from the great megatropolis!

  • Bleautiful song
