Population Research Institute is an international non-profit which works to end coercive population control, and fight the myth of overpopulation which fuels it. This video chronicles PRI president Steven Mosher's experience with the Chinese one-child policy, and how it led him to champion the rights of women and families worldwide.

  • China's one-child program is heinous human rights abuse, yes. But don't think PRI is making this video because it wants women to have control over their own fertility - exactly the opposite. Just because China is wrong doesn't make the Catholics right on population issues.

  • @lthroable If we're wrong, explain how. Ad hominem arguments are not enough.

  • I know several Chinese people who've migrated to Australia and they all say the One Child Policy came about as a response to Mao's greatest mistake: encouraging women to have as many babies as possible in order to make the nation greater. It had the opposite effect: creating poverty as you show, harming the natural environment, and forcing this generation to pay for the misguidedness of the past. The Chinese know from bitter experience what you don't- too many people is a burden, not a blessing.

  • Steven W. Mosher is a personal known family friend. Anyone who knows him or his wife would know that Steve is sincere in his calling to represent those of us that believe that ABORTION by any name is the killing of a human being. This video is great in presenting that inconvenient TRUTH. Its about the taking of human life.

    Right on Steve.

God Bless you and your Family. We met around the time you left Upland.

Regards from all of us to all of you. Carol and i saw you today EWTN.

  • So he is saying overpopulation is impossible? It shure seems like it.. Is it sustainable to have 15 or 20 billion people on this earth? I feel like it is a question about techonlogy and food. the reason China started with population controll is that 36 million people starved to death in the early 60's. Now what is the latter horrible thing to do? telling people not to have 2 or more kids, or letting a lot of people starve (wich they where afraid of)?

  • Actually I have4 been telling all, we are going to grow crops and farm our animals on boats in the ocean'sdead zones, and building artificial islands, for the workers and then for everyone. Thaen if the next planet we find is watery we will arrive prepared.

  • @videowilliams haha and the dipshits that make these videos argue that overpopulation is not a problem ahhaaa. how wrong they are.

  • This is a great way too make money find a touchy subject end exploited.

  • For the interview... did the film maker use a device to get them to look into the lens?

  • @terrorstorm99 Do the damn research yourself then.
