A simple photoshop button and how to enable for adobe encore

I had a very hard time finding a tutorial on how to make a button work. There are quite a few tuts on how to make a button which a simple youtube search will find for you.

This tut is how to make adobe encore implement a button and its features. I kept the button simple as i didn't need a complicated button for this tut.

I have made a pop-up menu in Photoshop, consisting of eight black buttons. I also created eight red buttons to serve as 'selection' buttons. So standard the buttons are black, when selected one of them is red, but now ow want to make it blue for when it's activated. Do you know how to do this?!

At 3:00 i talk about making a PS "high lite" layer. You may have to go back to PS and make a new layer in blue.

I have not used encore since about the time i made this video, so i am not certain.
